Who we are
Quad-ATV.za.net is maintained by a small team of South African powersports enthusiasts and web developers who saw a gap in reliable, structured ATV specification data for the local market. The database was first compiled in 2005 and has been continuously expanded and updated since. The current rebuild (2025–2026) represents a complete rearchitecture with clean URLs, structured data and a mobile-first design.
What we cover
For each quad bike and ATV in our database we publish engine details (displacement, type, cooling, fuel system), transmission and final drive, dimensions (length, width, height, wheelbase, ground clearance), dry weight, towing capacity, suspension (front and rear type and travel), brakes, wheels and tyres, fuel tank capacity and electrical specifications. Data is organised consistently across all makes so you can compare models like-for-like without interpreting different manufacturers’ brochure formats.
Our database currently covers 13 makes and over 1,000 spec sheets spanning model years from 1999 to 2025, with 2026 models being added as manufacturers release data.
Data sources and methodology
All specifications are sourced from official manufacturer datasheets, press releases and importer documentation. Where a manufacturer publishes specifications in both metric and imperial, both values are shown. Where multiple sources conflict, the most recent official document takes precedence.
Older model-year specifications (pre-2010) are sourced from archived manufacturer documentation, dealership records and where necessary cross-referenced against authoritative third-party databases. Specifications marked “Unknown” indicate that the value was not available in any source at the time of entry.
We do not publish estimated, inferred or crowd-sourced specifications. If we cannot verify a value from an official source, it is omitted.
Accuracy and corrections
While we take care to ensure accuracy, errors can occur in transcription or sourcing. If you spot an error, a missing model, or have access to official documentation for a model not yet in our database, please contact us. We investigate and correct verified errors within 5 business days.
Database last updated
The specification database is updated continuously as new model year data becomes available. The last major data update was June 2026.
